Saturday morning we went to the zoo with two other couples and their little boys. I know that sounds crazy because it is so hot, but the zoo started opening at 8 am so that you could get there early before it gets really really hot. So we got up bright and early and made it to the zoo right at 8. It was a lot of fun. We made it through the entire zoo. The animals were great, almost everyone was out and about. The lions and tigers were the only disappointment. We didn't see any. Just the little cats. The elephants were getting bathed, so they were inside but we were still able to see them a little. The best was the gorillas and orangutan. They were right up against the glass. Natalie kept talking about the monkeys that we saw. I think those were her favorite. But most of all we had to stop at every metal statue and take a picture on them. She liked that a lot also. After the zoo, we went over to our friends family pool for a quick swim to cool off. It was nice! Samantha enjoyed the zoo. She relaxed in her stroller for awhile, was walked around awhile, had a bottle then relaxed some more. I was surprised at how much she was awake. She really only slept for a bit right when we got there, then right before we left she fell back asleep. I guess she didn't want to miss the sights. She is only 2 and 1/2 months old and has already been to the zoo twice! What a baby!!
