Natalie loves the Splash Pad in Norman! We got there right when it turned on in the morning and stayed for an hour! That girl was running this hard the whole time, minus one potty break! Which by the way she is doing great with! Potty Training was rough in the middle of it, but she has figured it out now and we are in big girl panties full time except for when she is sleeping. However, Natalie tells me "I need to go Poop" every time she needs to potty and when she needs to actually go poop she tells me "I need to go Poop" with a little more of urgency and cry involved. So it is all poop to her, but at least she tells me when!
Anyway, the back to the splash pad! Thank goodness for this place in the hot summer! It is super close, free and fun! The first time we went to the splash pad this summer, we were there for about an hour and when I was trying to change Natalie into some dry clothes in the back seat of the car, she jumped over into the drivers seat, so i shut the door and went to the front door, got her out and went to the back door and it was locked! She had pressed the lock button somehow during that and we were locked out of the car! Luckily I had her clothes still in my hand so she would not be naked, but nothing else! And thank goodness I had Natalie with me and not locked in the car in the middle of the day in the hot sun! So we walked over to the library and hung out for a bit until Grandma (Sharon) brought us the spare key! Thanks so much for doing that!
So now, everywhere we go, I keep my purse on my shoulder until I myself have gotten in the car instead of setting it in the seat while I get Natalie situated. Just a word of advice to all of you who do the same thing. It is more convenient to get that purse off your shoulder but not if you get locked out! Have a great Monday!!
