Our vacation in Estes Park was so much fun! My entire dad's side of the family went to Estes Park to celebrate my Nana's 80th Birthday! We all stayed in cabins next to each other and had dinner together each night! It was great to see all of the family again! I know that Nana really enjoyed it!
We went hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park one day. The Jeep stroller sure came in handy! It was great! Rusty and Matt were our moutain guides. They took Niki and I over creeks and up in the forest. The weather was perfect. It was 70's in the mornings and evening and 80's or low 90's in the middle of the afternoon! Sure beats the triple digits back in Norman. I was sad to wake up already hot this morning.
At dinner one night, Natalie and Addie (my cousions baby girl who just turned one) played in the dirt together. Although, Addie has just recently started walking, so she stayed in the dirt most of the time unsure of how to walk on the unsteady surface. Natalie loved to run up and down the hills and rocks. It was really scary, but she managed to surprise me. Being the Tom-Boy that she is, she was awesome on the hills. She fell a few times, but nothing major.
We all went white water rafting, except the babies. I don't have any pictures of that yet, but I will post some as soon as they come in the mail. We went down level 3 and 4 rapids. Nobody filled or fell in the water. But they sure do know how to scare you before you go by demonstrating to you what could happen with thos tiny blow up boat. They were simulating how it can flip and then telling you want to do incase you were in the water. That was freaking me out, but once we got on the river and started going, it was great. I could tell the Matt was totally into it. He was paddleing so hard each time we got a command. Since we got to go whitewater rafting, Natalie got to go down the famous slide in Estes Park. It is about a three story high slide. She was laughing on each bump, Matt said. And she throw a small fit when we were leaving because she wanted to go again. Here is a video of her adventure.
